The Starec family has been carrying on the olive-growing tradition for three generations.
After the 1929 freezing winter, scions of Belica, Cernica, Buga and Drobnica cultivars were replanted by the few remaining olive trees. An oil for family use could be gained from such olive trees and many families from the area produced it.
The dedication and love for such tree led to the establishment of the olive-growing Starec company, in 1984.
